Can you install a cdrom drive 2 the 4000 le or must it be a scsi
i hooked a cd rom up and its on but my mpc is not showing it?
i have a external usb cdrom and same deal.
am i doing something wrong.

you can! i 'm getting one these days too!
scsi is for external connections, atapi internal! i've oppened my 4k a few weeks ago with an scsi ready to build in ... (fortunately it was a friend's one and not a bought one)

it contains a list of tested cdrw, hd, ...for akai products!
i'll probably go for a plextor! let me please know which one your takin a how it is workin! maybe there is a cheaper solution than the plextor for me too!
