I want to load the CD ROM that came w/ my mpc2000xl!

Yep. That's right. I'm probably one of the few funkcs around here who's gonna actually buy a cd rom just so i can load the CD rom that came w/ my mpc.
I think this may help my learning curve.
any tongue lashings, harsh criticisms or just a straight good ol' sonning will be appreciated.

U are wanting to load up the disk correct and u are having problems or are u just ranting?

Also disregard the NOTE about Folders the 2000XL can have folders.

i found this one on the "bay" but i can't figure out if it's the right one to use...

Read the chart below. It will give u the exact ones that work. Are u looking for an SCSI device or just a cd player to play the cd and sample into the mpc's RECORD IN?

and in order to do that.. the cd rom player has to have a scsi cable.

i do realize that they're quite generic and weak sounding.

There are alot of useful sounds on that cd.

cool. thanks dude. that's good to know.... now all i have to do is get a hold of cd rom player.

the ebay link that was posted about the cd rom player is very much appreciated... but it seems like a very steep price. i was under the impression that these are very obsolete and quite inexpensive.
