it's good that Akai is working on fixing this beast up...but I hope there's not a new problem...."98% READ ERROR!!" ...I'm keeping my fingers crossed...this machine has SO much potiential if it can be bug-free :)

Okay..... for the first time I have encountered this SYSTEM TEST shyt. Can someone let me in on how to get it off so that I can load 1.21? HELP!!!!!!!!!!

I'm loading the new Os right now and have been hung up on FlashRom Writing 98% Screen for about 5 mins. Anyone else have this happen. should I reboot or wait?

I think everyone is experiencing this 98% thing. At least thats what I have read in the first few posts on this thread.

I updated from 1.2 and had no probs with hung up. Works perfect I love my mpc. :D

Mine updated fine.
I never had the System error in 1.20

Ya gotta put 1.21 on a CF card (on the Root Directory) and then power up while holding down the 'WINDOW' button.

loaded fine for me. used th C/F hold down window on start up method

1.21 doesn't fix my midi issues that came to light with 1.20. Back to 1.1 I guess :(
