Studio Monitors

I need a good pair of mointors around 300-350. Wanted Yamaha NS-10s but I'm broke

i've got the m-audio bx5s and they're pretty good

truth monitors sound good

My Event TR-5 sound good, but you should get the TR-6 more low end, not much more but more nonetheless.

ns10s are discontinued i forgot what model replaced them

BTW Yesterday I rocked the Alesis M1-MKII and they are clean,crisp and they got knock

i think so too...i think events are the best in their price range...i just spoke on the M1s because my recent experience with them

Yeah, Alesis M1's were the bedroom studio standard for a while, there is nothing bad about them, Now you just have more options.

Okay if you get powered mointors or events, do you need an amp. Some ass hole was trying to tell me that I needed an amp for a powered speaker. You just jack right into it right? I think dude was talkin about passive. Whats the difference between events and mointors? I just need to get off my hooptie hi fis. I was mointoring through a PA system but it was killing my mix. When I'm done with a track I bump it in my rugged car sytem to see if it kicks, then the PA, then a boombox, then I try to re eq it to accomadate to all. I would just like to get a good soild mix in my bedroom before or instead of having to go out to the studio.

I also have the event TR-5's. I just fot them, and am amazed with the extremely colorfull sound. I looked into several seta before this choice.

Any monitors will work, its your ear that needs to be trained. If you have a good ear go for some cheap monitors. If your ear aint trained for acoustics then you should invest in some very accurate monitors. Keep in mind that now-a-days the majority of the people listen to their music on cd players and computer monitors. Not everyone could afford a high definition, surround sound system so make sure your mixes sound good there.

But personally I use Alesis M1 MK2 Passives, and sometimes I mix down on my cheap azz computer factory speakers which ironically helps me create great mixes because i'm so used to them plus I have been "ear trained" for a while.

thaz really what it'z about.....what you are used to......i am not even gonna talk about what i mixed down with in my years........but i think the thread starter is looking for some killer studio monitors in the range or 300-500 dollars.....nothing more, nothing less
