No Sound!!!

Hii all. Need some help. I havent messed with the 1k in a while and just moved it to my room to use it more. I just updated the os and now i have no sound coming out of the mpc. I cant hear the internal samples nor in record mode when sampling, when sampling i can barely hear the incoming signal unless i turn the rec gain and volume gain all the way up and it sounds really really low and bad.

Anybody knows what it might be?? Any help is appreciated please, im stuck and anxious to use it and cant!!

Okay, i installed the 1.07 back on the 1k and now no problem, its back to normal, But i really want the update, anybody have any idea why i cant get sound out of my mpc with the update, or anyone else have this problem happen to them.

Please anybody let me know, this really sucks!!!!! lol i want to be able to use the 2.10!!!!!

install 2.1 again
go to master volume and see if that helps
remember that the velocity curve of 2.1 is different than 1.7
see if that helps. i don't think i remember hearing about this being an issue, ever...but give it a shot.

just tried it, not working either, didnt make any change in output
what bugs me out is that the only time i can get any sound coming out of the mpc is what i have running thru it (sampling). I play the record, turn that rec gain and main all the way up, and i can just barely hear it, and sounds distorted what i do hear. its weird, then if i go back and intall 1.07, its all right.

and my visual input bars when sampling are barely reaching a quarter of the way. So the output and input is being affected with watever bug my 1k has.

if anyone has a clue please, ima keep working on it and researching, ill keep yall posted too.

damn, still havent found nothing. Any ideas before i call Akai, or is there another place i should call?

actually the levels change when u switch these op systems.... so try to make a new beat with brand new sounds and see if it helps..

This is really stressing me out, going to call akai today, see what i can get out of them.

Wow, that's a weird 1... so you are saying that after you moved it into your room, you re-installed the 1.07 and it was ok again? But with 2.0x it is messed up? So it's not an issue with a loose or damaged cable or jack?

Try downloading from another location, sometimes the PC's can corrupt the file, causing it to not work properly.. if you continue to have this problem YIM or MSN me and will try to get ths to work.

where else could i download from? i got it from the akaipro website. im gonna try again though just incase.

okay, new update. I can now get sound in, i can hear what im recording and preview it when ive sampled it, but once i hit keep and assign to a pad, no more sound. I can also hear it in trim mode and when changing parameters

So so far , I cant hear the pads in the main screen nor hear any sequences, i cant get any sound to come out when in main screen or in program mode. Now im more frustrated than before!!! Cuz now its like a tease, its right there, just cant get it.

Did you try to reset the MPC by powering on while holding SHIFT before installing the os? That might help.

No, didnt know about that. Should i put the 1.07 back and then reset and then install 2.10? Soon as i get out of class ima try it anyways, see watz up. Hopefully man it works, i cant get that shit out of my mind lol

not really, sometimes the file gets corrupted when downloading, I can't remember a friend and others had the same problem in here. this happen
alot when the OS first dropped. dan'g I can't not find that thread. but a friend of mine at akai received this problem back when they posted the New O>S
