Dammm I never really looked into the Motif because I have the Trinity and Triton, but dammmmm man, it has firewire mlan on it?

Oh so you thinking about getting Cubase? I have it, but I only use it for the sounds in it, those are hot I use Protools for my recording it's off the hook I wouldn't even tell you to get that lol cause you just want a program so you can sequence so I won't go into that. Is Cubase SX easier than Project five or Sonar, or Logic 7? Oh well let me take Logic off cause it takes forever to learn that thing, Protools I was recording in 30 minutes. yeah you are in 24 bit rate yeah you shooting straight fyah lol [/img]
Yea mLan adds lot of flexibility in transfering audio and midi between the motif and DAW, not mentioning the fact that motif turns into complete control surface for cubase and every button on the board has a funcion assigned to it . I have cubase SX and messed with it for little bit cuz that's what yamaha recommends to use with their workstations since steinberg and yamaha merged couple of years ago. But honestly Im trying to avoid using computer for making music as much as possible. When was on the market for a workstations narrowed down to triton and motif es. Both are nice but it seems like everyone has a triton, motif's es has more realistic orchiestral sounds and triton is more on synth side...On the other hand I wouldnt mind a trinity board
, that thing has some pretty damn good sounds.
Never messed with project five but Sonar and Cubase are pretty much the same thing, if you know cubase then you know sonar and vice versa. I wouldnt say cubase is the easiest software and it has its steep learning curve, but the way I look at it is "no pain no game"
right ? Never used Logic since it's MAC version of cubase or sonar and I dont own IMac computer, but from I read and heared it's similar to both. I been hearing lot bout protools and thought of checking it out, but never actually got around it. Lotta people using protools so I'm assuming it gotta be a good program.
