how do i erase the hardrive

i have an mpc 1000 n i want to erase everything off the hardrive because i have no room to load up samples or pgms i made. i would appreciate any advice you can give me

not sure bout 1k but on the 2500 you go to either Load or Save mode, select Utility tab, and this is where you format the hard drive from. Make sure that in device window you selected to hard disk instead of memory card.

i tried to do that but it wont let me change from memorcard to internal memory i tried to use both the cursor and the time/value dial

Yeah you aint talking about a installed Hard Drive you are talking about the internal memory. I'm having the same problem.. apparently you can't delete the files.. just overwrite them (somehow).

yea just try to format it if your mpc can do that.. i have the mpc2500 so yea i can do that but idk how the others work..
