1991 would mean the previous "AKAI branded" version of OS, 2.12 and in some rare cases, 2.14 ... ( the one that you can obtain for free or a nominal charge if you know where to look ).
The latest version is Roger Linn's team re-developed OS for the MPC60.
It is a major step up from the old 2.12 versions that shipped with MPC60/60II machines all those years ago.
Parts and support at some level cost money.
Support the work Roger's team did and you'll enjoy your machine a whole lot more.
Note too that the price for his upgrade is cheap considering how much it will improve the relationship between you and your MPC60/60II.
