Well i just installed it. I also got stuck on 98% when i tried to load it the normal way.

Worked fine by holding window when powering up though.

Ah, I'm in good shape now! I went to Radio Shaq and bought a CF card reader to get 1.21 onto a cf card and just got it loaded. Workin' fine enow. Whew... I thought my MPC was free from all bugs. I hope all is well now!

Just spent a good 4 hours on the new OS and it's seems real solid. No quirks at all . Made a shedload of PGMS and a couple of Seq. no problems reloading all the right PGMs onthe right tracks an all. Finaly can get down without having to worry about it Glichin up...Tight OS for Sample Tracks ...Anyone Giving the Midi side hell?

No, but my buddy pissed on his MPC after he updated it. His actions led me to believe that the new OS fix also provides external protection from liquid substances.

Damn. Is anyone playing with the new midi features? When I sync to Midi clock, I'm good. If I then switch to Midi Time Code, My Play and Record buttons stop working. FOR GOOD. If I turn all midi off, they still won't work. To get them functioning again I have to reload the OS! Anyone else experiencing this?

More issues? I have yet to load the new OS. Akai has verified on its Japanese site about the issues of the MPC stopping at 98% when installing the latest OS.......they still can't get it right....and yes, I already read what people are doing to get around this

i havent dun it yet and tbh i dont want an os that doesnt actually load proper!! i could laugh if i hadnt had so much probs.

No problems at all ...CPU reconizes the mpc on the CF and Drive.

What I did after installing 1.2.1 is removing 1.2.
Is that the problem maybe? And should I buy a card reader and reinstall 1.2 on the CF root folder?

Thanks

....reinstall 1.2 on the CF root folder?
You know you have to keep the window button pushed when turning the mpc on to load the os on the CF-card right?
What you leave on the CF-card makes no difference.

Ok, sorry. It was my own stupid fault. 1.2.1 is rock solid here.

Cheers

I've had exactly the same problem. Addtional to the Play / Play Start buttons freezing up, I've found that MTC sync is broken. It will neither Slave nor Master.

Goin' back to 1.2 and everything works fine again :(
