voice tags suck, but the beat was ok

beat 2 i don't like the start stop studder drum style you're using
but the beat is better on 2

beat1- soniclabsaudio

beat2- rickrock305

but yall already knew this....lol

beats 2 also gets my vote...

while both were not really doin anything for me beat2 is sonically(no pun intended) more sound...

as far as the beat itself, not really feelin the drums...beat reminds me of somethin you'd hear in a daw tutorial...beat was very sparse and while Im all for sparse id say this one was a lil too sparse....

beat1....

i dont know if its cuz I expected a mastering engineer to have a better ear for how things should sound(although he did mention that it came straight outta the mpc "with no editing") but this beat is lackin more so than the other imo...I hear some elements that might have been cool if the whole track didnt sound like mud....

funny how i got compliments on the mix, but its not even mixed...thats just a little rough mix i did at home, no studio or plugins or anything.

Thanks for the input everyone. I actually wouldn't even consider myself a producer, I'm an engineer and thats where i make my money. i just do beats on the side for fun, and when i have time which is rare. This beat is actually a year or two old. So any positive feedback is cool to hear.

Now Sonic, you gonna show up and take your beating like a man?

Don't kid yourself... engineers are always mixing... even if it's just on the MPC. C'mon man, you know you were tweakin levels on the MPC... I know how it is.

Both beats were ehhh, gay in my opinion. I was kinda feelin number 2 cuz the strings caught me for a minute = ]

Number 1 was just an all around waste. Comeon SonicLabs, i saw in another post u talkin about ur mixing skills and all this other stuff. That beat/mix was unacceptable.

All this talk about the beats gives me a hankerin 2 battle. Thats all im gonna say. hehe peace.

i actually wanna replace the string sound witha better sound. same pattern, different string sound. then maybe beef up the drums a bit. seems like all my stuff is always a work in progress.
