Breakbeats & Drum@bass

Hello all,

After a week I get happier and happier with this machine, the sound is so direct and the instant fun factor is very high.

Before I bought an MPC I created my Drum and Bass tracks using Kontakt and Reaktor and mostly I used samples which I chopped and rearranged etc.

I am curious if other users use the MPC for drum@bass programming and succeed in creating what they really want. In other words I know that the MPC is used by the whole hip-hop unity but what about the D&B-producers?

I think a lot of drum and bass producers use an MPC , Roni Size must be using one at least on his early stuff, a lot of those cats prefer a s3000 or better for production. You should be able to make any type of music on an Mpc it's how well you can use it. I'm sure you could compose a score if you really wanted.

I expected that answer and it's nice to get it confirmed.

It's just that I hoped to hear that a lot of big D&B stars used the MPC:D Of course it's the arranger/producer and not the gear.

I think Griddy does breakbeat style stuff, got one of his tracks called Winter Again, it's quality.

90% of the work I do with mine is D&B.

Got any examples?
