hi guys.
i've been making my beats on a 2000 XL MCD for a while. I use to save my beats on a 1 GB CF-card. I just make a folder for every beat. and when I want to load the beat, i just enter the folder and load the ALL file and the APS file.
i had a MPC 1000, but I just did'nt like the feel of the sampler, so I traded it with a guy. I got an MPC 2000 (not XL), with 8 outs & the EB16 effect card, he also gave me a iomega 100 MB ZIP drive and some money.
the problem is:
im working on my 2000 (not the XL) these days, and I've just saved one beat. This beat loads automatically everytime i turn on the 2000 with the ZIP drive connected. I have to keep the ZIP drive connected, because the OS is on the ZIP drive, because, the floppy OS i have does'nt work. I know the same problem happens if I save in the root folder on my MPC 2000 XL, thats one of the reasons why I save in folders, so how do i make folders in the ZIP drive? can somebody tell me?
thanks.
fred
