Correct. Good reason I never use IDE drives.

Some time ago I was asking about drives, because I was a little confused and this is what you wrote:

"Replacing one is getting to be chore for either model. External is SCSI, internal is ATAPI. Stores stopped carrying SCSI long ago, and they are clearing out the compatible ATAPI models."

Now you're saying:

Can you explain? I'm still trying to make a decision whether to choose internal or external. Portability is not a factor to me. Thanks.
