getting a hot enough signal

I have the delta 1010lt which has unbalanced rca ins. I am at a disadvantage because of these analog ins... because the rcas wont bring in as good of a line level as a balanced 1/4" analog in(like a regular 1010 has) would bring in.

How can i get a pro quality signal level coming into my delta even though i have rca ins?what equipment would I need?

i was just reading this so it might hepl you.....i dont know if it will it was talking about flipping the jumppers on the card to acheive different settings

I actually use 1 ferrite clip-on with my line in to PC when I record from MPC. It is a little more quite now while idling in record pause. It used to show like -78db noise now with the clip-on ferrite it shows like -83db while sitting idle.. I used Sound Forge for testing/monitoring the VU meters set at -137db scale.

I've only tried with RCA's, I haven't tried a balanced input so I don't have a comparison to give you for that. Sorry.

lol Odog, i went to sam ash, i bought 2 dual rca cables and a midi.i connected the duals from my tape ins and tape outs on my cheap behringer 8 channel mixer to the inputs and outputs in my soundcard. What i was expecting was to hear all the sounds on my computer thru my monitors but it doesnt work.Im sure my connection makes sense,im wondering why i cant hear any playback.


ps, i have the audio from my mpc and my synth connected to channel 3/4 and 5/6 in my mixer and on the main outs of the mixer i have my monitors connected.

make sure you connect your computer out to a channel on your mixer

Is your monitors Active (powered) or Passive (non-powered)? If they are passive you will need an AMP between the mixer and monitors. If they are Active you may need to check your mixer if you cannot hear sound. Check playback options of ALL devices along the audio chain.
