i didnt mean a surge like what happens in a thunderstorm (that can be dangerous even if something is turned off)
i meant the capacitors used to put the mpc together. they have a limited lifespan usually. with a mixer or a compressor or something like that, after a long time you need to replace the caps. turning something on or off a lot shortens the lifespan of the caps. or so i hear.. i havent had to recap anything, but then again none of my ish is all that old..
actually, that's not true i have a $2500 compressor sitting right here in need of some caps (the retard i bought it from was not too good to it)
