Good beats both of you, I give my vote to wes, not cause the mix is better (cause I know you take your shit straight out the MPC Spesh) but because the beat changes a lot but still manages to keep the groove. Good show guys.

if only your mixes were able to be better with your given equipment, you'd be owning shit on here. your drums are getting better. what i'd suggest with them is some varied velocity hits, they all seem to be at the same level.

like...you often have double kicks lined up there together. i do that too - it's something i totally learned from jel. what i've done with it is figure out which kick is on the downbeat. if it's the 1st, lower the velocity of the 2nd while simultaneously raising the attack a litttle bit. this emphasizes the 1st. if it's the 2nd, do the same. i personally love the sound of the latter. buBOOM, you know?

wow. this is great. suuch a strong groove. love that piano roll, that's some old wutang shit. GREAT samples, GREAT orchestration, good drums for this thing too. excellent shakers. nothing but props on this one buddy. the snare snaps, and the progression is excellent. i can picture a lot of great emcees on this. i think spesh spent longer on the drums than you did, but your choice in samples/progression was better and this thing has such attitude it cannot be denied.

Well Nym, soon enough my mixes will be getting on point. I just got a decent job so I can get some new gear. My girl makes enough to let the fam survive decent but we haven't been able to anything extra. I haven't ever had access to monitors or a multitrack so thats what Im aiming to get. I'm looking at getting some monitors, Cubase or another DAW along with me building a pc strictley for musical purposes. and the Presonus Firepod, I think its called, for an intrerface. I'm also looking at saving up for a rane mixer and I'm hoping to have all this by fall. I appriciate the words man. It seems that very few people appriciate my musci due to the lack of proper gear so I'm glad a few people can look past the mix and at least see where I'm trying to take my sound. As far as you wanting a few beats, anytime man.
