i recently got a MPC 2000 and a couple of pads have fallen off. Is it possible to get new ones and replace these? anyone know where to find them?

I had the same problem. You can't repleace only 2 pads. You have to repleace all 16 also with sensors . In my Polish akai service pads with repair cost about 200 $. I think that you can repleace pads yourself, it's easy but I don't know where you can buy it. Peace.

I just got a response from Akai/VST parts joint. So here's the answer, oh yeah, he told me to tell all he's got lots of these in stock. No more busted pads and it's cheap too. Mine are on the way. :D

"Yes replacement parts are available and in stock. If you have lost function of 2 pads then chances are that you need a new pad sensor which is aprox. $140, but if all you need is the new rubber part, then the price is $25 for gray and $41 for black. The rubber pads are easily replaceable but the pad sensor is a part that we always recommend be replace by an experienced technician. Both parts are in stock and can be ordered by calling the number below. Feel free to call with any questions."
