Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

What to do??? I love the 2000XL sample engine and pad feel and every thing it CAN do. However, I'd like mute groups, realtime slider controll, high/bandpass filter. The sample playback is huge for me and I just don't think the 1000 will cut it. I'm going to have to A-B the same samples and sequence between these 2. Out of no where, I started thinking that I might be better off with a 1000. What the ****? Just when you think your set up is perfect...

but think about it, why get the 2500 or 1000? just for some features that you don't have, then you get either one and you start missing something on the 2000xl.. and by the way, the 1000 & the 2500 are straight up ugly :) too technical & space lookin'..

it's like those synth comps. that started out by making these really nice looking, wooden synths in the late 70s, ff to the 1990s and they made all these crappy silver synths for the space/techno generation :) haha
..what ever :P

Now that I think of it, I'll break the 1000. Maybe you are ok with making "decent" beats but my beats are on fire and only 2000 or above can handle my shit.

but seriosly mrcrappypants--i dont see the need for many fx, personally. it all comes down to preference. if u think that another machine other than the xl is what best fits ur needs, than get it. but when all is said and done, its the user that has the control, not the machine. if its effects your looking for, buy a interface and send ur beats into protools, nuendo, etc. all the fx u'll need are there-not in the mpc.

the 3000 samples at a different sample rate, which is why so many ppl swear by it. but there are always ways that a creative mind can figure out how to mimic that.
