What the F!@#

Just thought you guys should know ....I had my mpc 4k conected
to my CPU through the usb.. booted up the mpc before turning on the
CPU-MAC duel 800 ... and it blew my CPU hard drive !!! what the F!@#
now when boot up the CPU it just clicks at me with a little computer guy in the middle of the screen smiling at me

The AKAI's USB port does not carry enough voltage to cause your computer to fail. It only appears like it has caused your HDD to fail. your drive finally collapsed due to a prolonged problem. You should have seen or heard indications of failure from long before.

refubished only had it about week didn't see it comin ..

Know where to get a 120gig HDD for a good price ..anybody

sorry to laugh at your misfortune (HDD failure sucks big time!) - but to even sugest that the MPC4ooo could be held responsible for such an act! lol! The only way the mpc4ooo could have done it was if you picked it up and threw it at your mac (which lets face it, would probably help (i have a thing against mac's y'see)).

the wrong idea ..Just telling it like it happend ..

Im using my pc with xp right now untill i can get a new HDD.. i personly
have been using a pc most my life and macs about 3 years both have
there good points and bad.. EXAMPLE pc's get viruses more than macs ..
You might say on what basis .. EXE that worm incident that was all over
the net you know the one that was created by 17to18 year old and was caught and never heard about again ..WEll that only afected PCs- micrsoft
And macs are plain out OVER PRICED ...

Oh and why did we never here about the genus again well if you were the
goverment what would you put him in jail or hire a new employee ..

If I have my Apple "Pismo" Powerbook off and it's plugged into the 4k when I turn the 4k on it fires up the Powerbook. It's as if the 4k gives a "power on" USB command to what ever is plugged in. Very odd.
