First of all, you gotta go in your trim screen and hit the Zone button. Can't remember which "F" button it is since I'm not in front of it. Then you wanna go to the top right corner and change the Play option to "zone". This will allow you you hear the highlighted "zone" you're working with. When you're finished just hit edit and it will ask you what you wanna do with it.

You might wanna download the manual and read it. It's free

hey im new here but not new to making beats in all,but i just copped about 1,000 albums all lp's and i wanna know how to use the chop feature you guys are talking about ..........i use to make beats by just playing them by ear on my keyboards and stuff.....but i ran across some videos of KEV BROWN and PETE ROCK on youtube and they was doing this chopping stuff wit the lp's so i was like man that would be ill if i can do that with all this viynl i got .....i think i got the basics from just reading what you guys already talked about but what i wanna know is how to make them into a program and save them as one?......one sound or chop rather to each pad?

last nite i tried to play around with the znedit and just confused! yes i sampled about 20sec from this lp then i put the sample on pad d16.......then i whent into parms and set all the pads in bank 1 to mono...then i went into sample menu pulled up the sample hit the znedit and in the play x box i set it to zone!!!.......then i hit the pads i heard nothing.......so i hit the play x .....i heard nothing!!! so i move the data wheel and hit play-x and i started to hear the sample.....is this correct?
