help guys please

i know i might be asking for it but i need help ive been doin research and i bought 1 i worked all summer to buy the tools that i need ive been in this forum for a while listen to other people for over a year it s easy to watch but when you get it its a different story i went to radio shack and got a mixer and i need to hook it up ive read other post and tried what they did and no luck can some one help me out radio shack mixer / mackie 1202vlz pro /mpc can some one show me the light thanks in advance

what are u using for ur sounds?
disk, synth, software, turntables?

turn tables whatever i can get sound from if i bypass the mackie i get sound but its terrible

turntable in mixer
mixer out mackie
mackie in mpc

make sure the record volume is turn down appropriately
also make sure the mixer volume is turned down appropriately

if it still has shyt sound, specify in more detil what the problem is

ok i hooked it up the only way i get sound is when i plug the headphone jack to the mixer stereo aux return i get sound in one ear of my head phones and it sounds muffeled

what kind of headphones??

i strongly suggest buying soe monitors, cause headphones, will not cut it

i tried this when i first started and you really cant tell how much bass you have, even with the most expensive headphones

could be the classic problem that you don't have a mixer with a Phono Preamp...is the ground wire from your turntable connected to this radio shack thing? If not then you aren't going to get it working right.

try this:

turntables to mixers phono then mixers line out(you should have at least 1)
to mackies channel 1(or in) mackies out to mpc in, mpc out to mackies channel 2. Monitor mixer to mackies out or sub out


or u can just bypass the mackie connection....

just hook up mixer line out to mpc in then mpc out to monitor mixer(this is how I have mine now but Im plannin on gettin a mixer because I wanna connect my kick ass pc aswell
