What type of keyboard is that..

is that an E-mu pk6 or 7?

neither. its the yamaha DGX-202 that i bought 3-4 years ago on accident. its got some decent sounds on it, but mainly i only use it for bass.

i know i know, cool factor just dropped a few notches

but thanks. its a humble set up, but a lot of fun.

i have my micstand/mic in the closet to the left of the keyboard. no need to waste bandwidth on another pic of that though.

u shouldnt leave ur records horizontal like that. the bulk of the wieght of vinyl is in the middel, so eventually they will all warp. keep 'em vertical.

Thanks guys. and thanks for the tip bicedidit. they have been like that for a couple weeks and i have tried to keep the stacks that are horizontal pretty small to avoid warpage. some of them are even hanging off the edge there. I'm gonna go try and find something better this weekend that i can put the keyboard and the records on/in.

does that software record everything you play for instance if i hit a couple of pads on the mpc2500 and play a couple of keys on the roland keyboard would it record what i did?.... and is it easy to use and affordeble?

It certainly can do what you talking bout and even more. Anywhere from 2 bar loop to fully finished track. Cubase is one of most popular DAW's used in today's recording studios. Is it easy to use...Very objective question and totally up to you and your willingness to learn it. One can say akai was easy to learn and was making music within hours, while other sells it on it ebay cuz they can't figure it out. My first impression of cubase was it's rather complex for a new commer, and if you're new to this you most likely get overwhelmed with all the features it has to offer. I say try it for yourself see what it has to offer and take it from there. Just cuz I drink my vodka straight with no chaser it don't mean it's your flavor too, ya dig ? . Is it affordable yes and no...Yes who the hell buys all that expensive software. No it runs around $600s. Lotta times you get fully functional stripped down version of cubase sx called Cubase LE with gear. For example I bought a emu 0404 sound card and it came with bunch of software and cubase le was one of them. So if you wanna get yar feet wet in cubase I say start off with basic version, without all the features, this way you can focus on making music and at the same time explore the program. Once you get a hang of it you can always upgrade to the richier version SX. Just make sure to take baby steps, before you can run you gotta learn how to walk first... Also you might wanna look into CoolEditPro. Hope this helps and answers your questions
