buzzing noise from my 3k

screen on my 3000 makes a buzzing whining noise after about half hour of use. the noise goes away when i turn off the backlight, but it's really annoying. i figure the inverter's fried. can anybody help me out on where to get this part? where is a decent place to get it serviced in NYC area? thanks in advance

Rogue music is probably your best bet. I just met the tech there. Just don't let them tell you just to sell it for 300 ;)

how much do they charge for service? im good with circuits so id rather order the part and fix it myself...
