if u dont want to risk it you might as well get a normal turntable and a cheap preamp (which u can get together for 160 or less) and just hook that up to your audio interface

I didn't even think that was possible? I've had my 1200's for close to fifteen years now and they work just as well as they did when I first bought them.

O.k here's the deal. This thing is absolutely great. It plays 33 1/3 and 45's which is good enough. You can change the pitch +/- 10%.The sound quality is superb but i only played a few records on it so far.It comes with Audacity but i prefer to use SoundForge to edit but hey,to each his own.It also has attached rca cables to hook up to your mixer but i decided to go straight into my amp.All and all i love it.USB ROCKS!

Peace.

yeah but when you record into your pc...how does it sound.

Try recording one thing, then resampling in a lower bit...

I just need to know if it picks up the warmth of the vinyl.

Thanks alot, appreciated.

That's what i wanted to know.I don't plan on scratching or anything but i wasn't sure if there was some sort of usb mixer to acheive that.

And Greeda,i'll check that out and get back with you later.

Peace.

Alright i sampled some stuff, resampled it and don't worry sound quality is not an issue.I lowered the bit rate and all that and it's still clear but warm.

Peace.

damn....

I was just about to get some new 1200s.

Now I might have to reconsider.

Something like this would make things a lot easier.

Thanks for the info.
