listening to dollabeats right now

i like the melodies, synthlines, everything but the drums
you could do soooooo much better on these drums
everything else is so sick
i like the drop, when the drums go out
but those fast snare rolls...too mechanical, overdone...if i were you i'd not build your drumkit around an electronic kit on this song in particular, go accoustic and do something a little smoother, lots of drops to complement the great synthinig you're doing.

tdot - loving the picture.
good sample, drums are a little sparse. better kit than dollar, smoother in general. this is a great beat, no doubt. i'd seriously like to hear it developed a little more, it's kinda just a loop right now. it's nice work, but there's lots of room for improvement.

from a battle perspective, i'd say dollar won. it seems that he put more effort into it. if this weren't a battle i'd say i liked the mood of tdot better than dollar, but since this was a battle i'm gonna vote for dolllar.

both - great beats, good talents. work on them drums. props to all involved.

I voted for dolla. His is more of a song than mine. I can tell there was alot of construction that went into it.

I should probably add some things..Lord knows theres about 9 more sample chops from that record that are just sitting in the program unsequenced. I like loops though..I think I listen to too much primo and marley marl 8)

tdot beat made me feel like rappin. bobin my head, feeling it and also makes me wanna scratch to it. Love the hiphop small orchestra feel. Drums in banging just the way I love em. Hit me in the chest like a 45.

Dolla's beat had me thinking crunk videos, still bobin my head a bit but not as heartfelt as tdots beat. Synths, sinewave, 808 snares, everything was on point but the kick didn't beat into my chest enough. Better thought out and put together than tdots beat though.

Both good, don't get me wrong, they are BOTH rida beats, I'd thump both in my ride.

whatever record you got this from, its a nice choice of samples... as an mc this is perfect..

the only thing i would add is a hook and maybe a voice sample.

this is pretty much how i do my beats.. real simple. i dont like spittin to real busy beats.. its a distraction..

Don't hate on the 8 bit soundcard man

I had to give my vote to tdot. Dollabillbeats wasn't my style. It was well arranged but I don't like the crunk sound, and especially the machinegun clap.
I do like you song "The Coast" though.

yea my beat sounds to crunk not laid back like some of my other beats...... i can definetly see too short and eminem, lloyd banks and busta rymes on this one...... now for tdots......

i can see OL skewl favs like run dmc, pete rock, or myabe jada kiss, and the whole ruff ryders or maybe some ny city dudes like dypset, and kanye and ...... damn his beats tight i gotta give it up!..... the drum is bangin but too bangin.. i think ya need 2 turn it downa bit and it would sound even greater! im not hating, i got all the respect 2 ya tdot!.. holla at me when ya wanna do this again..... win or loose your beat is the winner 2 me! imma try 2 pic out a dope sample to battel someone else or maybe even you again..... holla at me
