Yea that screen is a very good overview of the program and a true timesaver. I'm really excited too about this os.

I installed it and now the screen only reads beta os 3.0 error then goes to a ...... file dump then resets .............. ?

I've lived in Switzerland a little while, and let me tell you that this is a terrible metaphor since swiss cheeze is fantastic.

I haven't had a chance to try this OS, seems promising, too bad there's so little explanations on the website (as to where this thing is going, how he made it ...). However nice work by this guy, I'm very excited and hopefully midi related bugs will be fixed.

Also, it may have been asked before, but does this OS works nicley with the hard dreive?

so far so good with the hard drive and saving issues in general.

and while swiss cheese is damn good, the point was that it's full of holes and while that works well for cheese, it don't for mpcs.

yeah there isn't much description on the page, and there's no manual yet. maybe when 3.0 comes i'll make a translated page for him and maybe a short english manual for the new features.

the grid editing on this baby gets roughly 17.8 thumbs up
i had shied from the grid due to mouse grid editing
but this shit is fast and wonderful
the only thing i'd want is a way to play the sound straight from the grid rather than just having to know what sound it is. there's a blank spot in the F buttons that could be a "play" option...

New OS version up this morning with the MIDI Sync fix

i downloaded it but i cant get the mpc to controll ableton live

as a module or in sync as a slave?
the JJ is working on that. it should work as a module though, reason does for me.

Record the bass vst´s into a mpc track.
But i guess if his gona fix it i can mess with all the new futures in the mean time, its alot new to play with for sure.

One thing that rocks and i think is new is that you can keep an arrow key pressed and then use the wheel to navigate instead of repeatedly pressing the button... Try that in the mode+pad11 screen to navigate left/right the columns and up/down the pads.

ah! great find. i hated having to hold my finger on that button and wait for it to trigger the down...

great saving/loading screens, too. real nice.

I haven't read the whole thread, but it seems like there is a serious bug in the slicing function. I was gonna slice a sample in 16 parts, but 44 slices appeared lol
