insecure? get your facts straight homie
i'm simply telling the people they might just be next on the gift list
the only insecurities to be found are in the replies posted
new functions aren't high on my list, it's more the bug fixes that get me, and only the bug fixes that i expected to be of interest to the 2500 users

so jahrome, let me get it straight - if a 3rd party os was developed for the 2500 w/ no bugs, you wouldn't use it?

Hell naw. I didn't use 3rd party Operating System with my MPC 3000 and I will certainly not use a 3rd party OS with my 2500. This new OS for the 1000 is nothing special at all. If you really want to know what I think this MPC needs (besides bug fixes) you can check my previous threads.

And you do sound insecure whether you want to admit to it or not. Its proof in over half your posts about that thing. I hope you make enough money from your future MPC 1000 pad repair business. Then you will have enough money to but an MPC 2500 w/ a 3rd party OS...and spend less time trying to convince MPC 2500 users that they wasted an extra $600 for better pads, an adjustable LCD, more/better Q-link sliders/knobs, CD burning, and 2 extra MIDI outs. You do realize that 2500 users could have easily gone out and purchased an MPC 1000 if we wanted one. I would still choose any MPC over a 1000 any day.

you forgot to mention additional audio outs, but i'll let you go on that one.

as i've told you before in other posts i have made, stop with the naysaying dude you're accomplishing nothing here. there are those of us who would rather not read negative filler. there are also plenty of people here in the 2500 forum who are interested in what i'm saying, and who understand that this is not a competition, this is simply a gathering place for information and a discussion of things to come. please stop struggling to turn it into something different with personal attacks and a lack of any constructive input on these new developments.

i bet there are a bunch who would be glad for the chance of a 3rd party os on their 2500. and also plenty of us who do in fact think that the 3rd party os is more than "nothing at all." please stop belittling those of us who want to make due with less. as i have repeated, i'm not convincing anyone they wasted their money.

and regarding pad repair, it's not money i'm interested in, it's the 1000 itself and mpcs in general man - you're getting on my case for knowing more about it? i have hidden none of my methods, everything has been open source, if you will. i have no alterior motives, and as i have also said perhaps 5 or 6 times, i have nothing but hopes for the future of the 2500.

so thanks, are you done now? please stop with this nonsense, man. i'm not leading anyone astray and i'm certainly not stepping on your toes, so please stop stepping on mine. i'm asking nicely, and i'm seriously being sincere. enough is enough, you've had your say and we all know where you stand. if i have any questions for you, i'll be sure to ask.

seriously.

jahrome wrote:Well..it will not piss off this MPC 2500 user. Why would you think it would?
There isn't one feature in that OS that blows my mind. I guess since I have a studio full of tools, its hard to impress me. If I wanted a cheap drum machine, I would have purchased one.

The only thing I really need an MPC to do..is to playback my sampled drums/loops and sequence keyboards. Anything more than that is a bonus.

Honestly, only kids sitting around in their bedrooms would give any thought/energy to why the MPC 1000 has the same or more features than a 2500. I am about to start using an MPC 3000 which doesn't have a fraction of the 1000/2500. But as long as it samples my drums and sequence without crashing....its more than enough..

mmm a bit of a immature post since you are so mighty calling people kids, just to let you know the hardware of these 2 units is very similar if not identical you just payed for cosmetics and a few extras

modnar if you don't know that virtually all of my retorts to your comments are in the spirit of humor....

i don't know what i'm gonna have to do with you
and your mum
well scratch that last part, i know exactly what i'm doing there

again - 2500 isn't pointless, it's an investment in akai, essentially. you're putting trust in them that they'll improve their machine as they did the 1000.
