What do you use to chop your samples up with?

i used to do it on the 2k but it would take a little too long. i got used to it, but i decided to stick with adobe audition for chopping. someone referred me to sound forge which is a blessing when you're feeling lazy. the auto region will do it for you

ONE-SHOT LOOPZ

FADE INZ or FADE OUTZ

STEREO TO MONO CONVERSION and VICE VERSA

WAV TO MP3 or MP3 To WAV

CHANNELL SWITCHING

DC OFFSET REMOVAL

LOWER OR RAISE BIT DEPTS

PCM WAV RENDERING WHICH IZ The Type of .WAV USED NY MOST SAMPLING HARDWARE

1/2 BAR LOOPZ ETC.

(NOT TO MENTION NOISE REDUCTION)



I LOVE RECYCLE and I've Used it when it WAS A VER. 1.0(MONO, NO DYNAMIC PRESETS OR EQz, UGLY But Still Useful)

But there ARE Alot of thingz That SOUND FORGE CAN DO THAT RECYCLE CANNOT...............

So yes IF You Have A REASONABLY READY LOOP THEN RECYCLE IZ BETTER, Other than That SOUND FORGE ALL DAY.........SOUND FORGE ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently got Audacity with me Numark TT but i haven't used it much.SF8 is more than enough to get the job done.Plus it kicks @ss too. :lol:

I use either wavelab or mpc as i like to get away from the whole cpu studio enviroment it gives me less options and alot of times thats the best option. If that makes any sense.
