few questions

question number one:

We all know a sort of key release option from software sequencers.
Is something like this also on my 2kxl?
I mean, if i hit a pad quickly it still plays the sample till it's end.
I want it to play as long as my finger is on the pad.
Can it do that?

question number two:

I saw that Kev Brown video where he's making an ill beat in like
15 minutes.
What settings for bars and quantisising he uses?

question number three:

Since i want to buy the 8 outs in the very near future for mixing
and adding effects to my tracks, which mixer is good for such a job?
Do people have any experience with certain models? If so,
spit the model name and i can do some research.

shift + programs
choose paramaters
bottom right it'll say poly

press the pad you want to change
and change poly to "note off"

That Kev Brown video, I believe he had all that setup just for the video. Then the video is edited. It didn't really take him 15 min. I could be wrong, but I just don't see it.

In that video of Kev Brown it definetly took him longer than 15 minutes. He went through and took that sample a piece at a time. He then had to go through and edit the samples. They didnt show any of that.

That definetly took Kev Brown alot longer than 15 minutes. Had he put in the loop and chopped it in the MPC, maybe a little faster. He time strectched and pitched the samples, etc., etc. He chops it like Just Blaze & Pete Rock do it. One note at a time.
