MPC2000 to MPC1000 program conversion

Hi there mpc1000 users,

I am sure a lot of MPC1000's would have used the older MPC2000 ( not XL one) and somehow managed to transfer their programs and samples into 1000, I would like to know if they are fully compatible, specially sample mapping and etc, as I am thinking to sell my mpc2000 and buy a more compact and versatile mpc1000, i have heaps of programs in mpc2000 that I dont' wanna recreate in 1000.

yeah u will find loads of advice on this forum on how to go about doing this.
however i will give 1 important part and the rest u will have to search the forum for. Make sure before you transfer all you files this includes .snd files and .pgms (NOT .aps and .all also .snd dont work on os 1.07 no compatability) that they are eight character length.
