Does the mpc will allow me to do this: take a sample that is maybe 5 bars long and fit it into a 4 bar loop, so basically I want the sample to stay exactly the same in size but speed it up to make it fit perfectly in the 4 bar section. Is there a way to do this with the mpc without a lot of guesswork or will I have to change the sample then check it in the loop, change the sample check the loop, change the sample check the loop....etc? This is a feature that would be very useful for myself(to be able to snap any size sample into a different length loop).......If the mpc cannot do this what program would you reccomend? I hope that all came out right....anyway thanks for the help guys.[/b]

yo upright ! as lampdog said you can do that with timestrech but i would recommend you to slice your 5 bar sample before for several reasons, that is to say your sample will always play during 5 bar which is frustrating unless you press stop 3 times or whatever , and the other reason is that maybe your sample is played in 4/4 so if you only bring it to 4 bar instead of 5 it may sound bad. just try by yourself anyway !

Chop small (like Jacpot says) and try that out.
