I just bought an m-audio uno cable. it converts midi into usb. and i was wondering how am i supposed to record with this. it just recognizes the mpc as a controller. and i want to record my shit from my mpc to my comp.

Get and audio card. Since MIDI is NOT AUDIO, you have to connect the AUDIO outputs from your mpc to the AUDIO inouts on your computer.
