HOW DO I BRING UP SLICE MODE

I RECORD MY SAMPLE AND THEN HIT TRIM...BUT I DONT SEE THE SLICE OPTION....HOW AM I ABLE TO CHOP MY SAMPLE...??

no its not...it doesnt talk about slicing in the manual....

I'm sure it talks aboute ZONEing, now go read your manual.

U gotta get used to the fact that your manual might not call a function what you think it is or should be, it may use a whole different word terminology.

You'll have to also specify what mpc you have so that someone here can let you know specifically what terminology is used in the manual, that is if they choose to tell you.

Gotta hit the "SLICE" button - it's two buttons over from the "GRATE" button but some MPC's require you open the "TOASTER" door to find it......If all else fails, hit the "FLAKE" button twice, click your heels together and say "There's no place like home" three times.....

... or look in the mirror and say candyman 5 times.

If you can't time stretch on your 1k then it's about time to upgrade your os. Go see the akai site.
