so i'm quite familiar with the label groove merchant, but i copped a record today put out by Verve. Jerome Richardson's "Groove Merchant". Was this the start of that label in some way, shape, or form? Is groove merchant a spin-off of verve? There is no date on the record.

anyone know whats up?

no ....not realy i just have some old stuff some 180grams of theres from 50's maybe even 40's jazz stuff. it's a flat black label with metalic verve writing on it , how they got that metalic print on the label is a mystery to me cause you need to hot stamp tat type of printing on , ands how they did it with oout warpin the record....?

maybe thats why they put there stuff on 180gram.
