MPC1000 OS V3.0 beta ?

And Akai was saying that MTC was impossible on the 1k...whatta buncha bull!

Also, with this OS....are programs made in OS 1.xx still effed up when loaded into 3.0? Or is that a non-issue.....what up 'Nym!

$30 is not alot of money when you think of the service we're getting.
being part of the development process etc. being able to beta test and throw improvement sugggestions etc. this OS is going to be a beast.

ok that does it!!! I sold my 1000 a while ago cos i wanted sumthin bigger. I didn't have the money for a 2500 so i bought a used 2kxl in mint condition.
Mainly becos of mtc and sum other things i prefer. I never ever regretted the decision. But i'm definitly gonna buy a new 1000 to use in conjuction with my 2kxl. DAMN grid edit???? WOW!

i almost forgot. yes, old programs will still have a volume of 70 instead of 100. just turn them up.

You seem rather the paranoid, making chickens out of nothing and all...

I haven´t seen anybody (apart from defect) on here express nothing than the greatest appreciation against this OS initiative, although the talk of building temples for this guy is purely ecstatic and not real plans I think those tendencies makes clear the willingness from people on this forum to reward the guy for his work.

What interests me is who you adressed that "u on welfare" - comment to?

if anyone has started to compile a wishlist to send over to the programmer i'd like to add two features to that list.
1. a screensaver
2. being able to modulate start/loop points with LFO,envelope and Qlink.
have'nt tried the 3.0 yet but i'm looking forward to purchase a copy when its out of the beta level

i'm trying to follow what this could apply to.

I think it means we can use MPC as the master as opposed to being only a slave (when your mpc is on bar 17, so is cubase). Before we would set cubase on bar 17 and the mpc would follow, but not vice versa. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

MTC (Machine Time Code) is a MUCH more reliable and rock steady connection for the MPC to other MIDI interfaces than Midi Clock. With MTC, worrying about whether or not the track you just dumped had any hiccups or not would become a thing of the past.
