cd drive

if you can burn audio like your beat plz tell me where to get the os update or just tell me how i can burn the audio... pm me...

if you dont have a turn table...you can use the cd drive for sampleing... yizzer.... and yea sometimes you buy cd's full of sounds or watever and then ya can just load them 2 the computer and then transfer them viz usb... but thte thing is that i want 2 no how 2 transfer my beat somewhere where i can save it or listen 2 it on cd.. i no mpc2000 users save there beats witha floppy cuz they hook another type of flopper converter thingy up and most of them are blue.... but im wondering how you can save your beat on a cd? or floppy i dont care but save your beat from the mpc2500...... hit me up on a pm or just reply to this if ya got an answer imma be posting a thread on this soon..

I think we sorted that out already. The CD drive does not support data writing, only audio burning. And as far as I know, it only supports reading from audio CDs as well. So shrednar's statement was wrong.

The CDM25 burns audio CDs so you have the option of not using your computer to do such a task.

Now, it also reads from CD Roms and DVD Roms. If you have commercial CD Roms full of wav samples, you can load these directly into the MPC 2500 using the CDM25.

It also samples from commercial CDs. You can also import entire commercial songs into the MPC 2500s memories if you choose to.

The burning features of the 2500 was implemented in OS 1.1. You can download information on how to use this from Akai's website or search for my previous thread on this topic, which will give you step by step instructions on how to use this feature.

200$, and it's obviously the only one that will work, no alternatives to that.
