Need your opinion.

i'm thinkin of gettin the 1000 or the 2000xl, i've heard the 1000 has problems sometimes, and it needs an upgrade. which one you think i should get to start off wit?

2000xl. Gives you more options. The 1k is nice though I never used it.

I don't really know the 1000, my son will go for it....
I think it depand of how your environement is...
Looks like the MPC1000's fine if you work your beats via PC/MAC (soft), it have all the features for it...
For me the 2000XL is more for studio/live gig...

Yeah man i had to make the same decision. The reason why i chose the 2000xl is because the 1000 is only compatibable with windows xl an someother os's (go to zzounds.com to peep the rest). In other words the 1000 is not compatible with windows 98 os, which sux. So the extra $500 is cheaper than getting a new operating system and intel processor. But if ya got all the connects for the 1000!

not really true.

the 1000 comes with internal effects as the 2000xl doesnt($$300)

the 1000 comes with 6 alltogether outs. 2000xl comes with just the stereo outs.
