Maybe you know this maybe you don't
I usually sample stuff out of my sound modules, keyboards and audio instruments - getting fed up with the CF thing I figured out a way to by pass the CF dialogue between my MPC and the computer.
Since the MPC1000 will let you play seq's and samples while in "rec sample" mode I've routed a sub out from my mixer to the MPC1000 rec in L or R - turned the monitor off (or listen through your headphones) to avoid feedback and hit record. I either play the seq or hit the pad and viola -
BTW I'm just talking about recording your external equipment - if you want to record what's in the mpc just change your record source to MAIN OUT
