import midi files

Is there a way to import midi files into the 2500? If so how?

Yes you should be able to load MIDI files into the MPC. You maybe able to use the Multicard reader or do it via USB. I dont own an mpc2500 but that seems the logical way. Not 100% sure so mpc2500 users correct me if im wrong.

midi type 0 only

so you can Xfer a type 0 and load it then the MPC will place it in a track? Is there no way to load a type 1 or an easy way to convert a track from type 1 into a type 0?

load type 1 into another sequencer that accepts
both, save as type 0. load into 2500.
