Hey, if any of you are messing with the new trim/loop window in beta 10+ you should go look at the beta 11+bug list thread. We are trying to sort out some problems with the new trim mode (amongst other things), but it's kind of complicated to get it right since the new trim/loop mode work so much differently now. If you go to that thread and read the posts about this, maybe some of you could shed some light on how to improve this feature, so it will work the best for what we all need it to do.

Can't you download it from this page?

What browser/os are you using? That might be what is screwing up your computer by trying to take over the translation instead of letting the google translator do it. If you aren't already, try Firefox and see if that might work.

does that Track record (61-64) even work yet?
i downloaded beta 11 ..tried it out.
am i doing something wrong or is it still buggy?

..ive seen the video where the guy does it on the 2500 with the Direct Recording feature.
thats what the 1k needs.
or im just lost on the whole thing.

No you're not doing anything wrong EPC, the track 61-64 direct recording feature is still messed up. Actually, it is worse in beta 11 since it now records the count in as the first measure of the sample as well as the original problem of the extra snippet of time beforehand. I am going to try beta 12 and see if that works any differently.

As for how the direct recording is set up on this machine vs. the 2500, it is relatively the same thing, but the 1k approaches it differently. When this finally gets working, the direct record feature will be able to record full passes or loops and play them back on tracks 61-64 directly like a multitrack. The advantage of this is that you can mute and unmute these tracks and the recorded material will keep its position in playback. For example, if you had a long vocal (say a verse) recorded in your sequence on track 61 and wanted to drop out a line or so by muting, you would not mess up the timing or have to wait for the sample to start again to activate/deactivate the mute. Also, you can still assign any recorded sample from these tracks to any program+pad and make it engage on 1.000.000 to use this as a phrase sampler like the 2500.

Also, the difference in how to go about this compared to the 2500 is that to Direct Record in the 1k w/3.0 you must do it in track 61-64 (but you can always then reassign the sample to a program to launch from any other track when it's done), where in the 2500 there are no special tracks 61-64 for direct playback and the Direct Record feature is included as another selection in the DRUM, MIDI category.

I am going to try out beta 12 to see what has been changed or possibly fixed in a day.
