A lot of dealers sold their XL stock and just called them backordered while they waited for the 2500.
Other dealers made it a we can get item and stocked 1k's.
The dealers who have XL's probably got them at the old price so they are trying to hold the line.
Others got them cheap and know some people will still pay good money for them.
Realistically when the 2500 arrived the XL should have went to $999, but that would have affected the incomplete 1k O.S. they were selling.
A MCD for $1200 should include the 8-out, 32meg and the EB-16, if not it's a bad deal when 2500 are $1600 with no effort.

Wow.. understandable.. I guess it's all a sales game!

And the saleman's replied, "But this bundle comes with a bag, man! A $5 dollar bag and a $2 effect box. You can't beat that! How about $1,240.00 that's almost $10 dollars off the sale price" :)

These must be factory warranty replacements or refurbs - demos etc.

The lowest price we see in Canada for these is about $1900 new. Which in USD is about $1800. No bag - no fx. No ram, no 8 outs.

The Associate.

What was the total ebay price? Shipping seems to never be included and I see guys overcharging for shipping.

Charging $15 to ship a compact flash card within the US.

ummmm too much trouble to find a link to it. Search completed listings for MPC2000 xl with a space before xl, that should be it.

NObody wanted to bid because it was a 0 feedback seller, but he was in Brooklyn so I just picked it up, saved on shipping. Best part is, he threw in a free TV, like a 23 inch Samsung with a remote and everything :)

And....the 2000xl kicks the mpc1000 in the ass, hands down. I got the machine for the pads but the sound is much fatter.
