Help Please!

I hope this isn't a dumb question, but I just got my 2500 today and I just installed a 60gig Seagate HD. My question is, is there a menu where I can see if it is recognizing the HD and its size, thanks alot...

Mode ad Pad 3. The free space shows up at the bottom right.

Have you formatted it yet?

If not, from that same page press F3 to go to the utilit page and hit do it (F6) with the hard disk selected at the top

Thanks for the fast reply J, I have one more little I installed PC133 144 pin Ram into the 2500 and at start up it gets stuck on the 128mb installed screen, is this due to the value ram I purchased or something else?

Not too sure about that.

Have you got a card reader hooked up to your PC? If so, you should try putting the latest OS on the card, put it back into the MPC then power on whilst holding 'window'

This will re-install the OS.

You could also try holding erase whilst powering on to do a factory reset but i dont think that will help in this case.

If you havent got a card reader you're probably gonna have to take the RAM out and see if it will boot again.

Which brand did you buy?

A bran called Cent NB from CompUsa! I took it out and the 2500 started as usual, so I am guessing that it might not like that type of memory!
