I had no intention to ask for discount though so maybe wrong of me to have posted that but as i said $30 was very little and the price is the last thing on my mind, my concern was just for updates and bug fixes and that is why i did the poll, (i would pay him $30 a month for if he wanted it for updates)
This guy has done incredibly good things for the 1K i respect and appreciate what he is doing so please don't come with crap like I'm trying to get him into a contract its just to give him feedback and see what he feels about the subject.
I was really trying to help but if you feel its a insult to ask if he would support the product in future, and the few other questions then delete the poll,

I appreciate your intensions are good, but it certainly came across that your poll was acting as a way to drive the guy's price down and tie him into agreeing to continuing support, which I think is unfair. Add this to many of the posts other people have made about 'getting ripped off' for $30, or buying one copy and sharing it around, and it certainly makes disappointing reading, if not for me, then certainly for the guy trying to help everyone out by making the OS in the first place.
