digital in out?

whats the purpose of the digi in outs on the mpc.what do u guys use if for.what can i accomplish with the digi, in and outs?

for recording in digital, if your other equipment has the same ins/outs. supposedly keeps the audio in pristine condition without having to record through analog cables which can sometimes add static and whatnot. but seriously, i can't tell a difference. smoke if you got em
