FREEZE AHHHHHHHHHH

My mpc 1k is freezing a lot latly...when i go to step edit and try to move htings a lot of the times all these letters and numbers pop up and it freezes and i have to turn it off, or when i create a new folder right before i save and hit done it freezes


i have to redo one out of every three or four beats and this is a huge hassle and bs im so pissed right now it just happened to me for the third time in three days well it happens eveyr day i sit down and pump out tracks (or try to until i have to recreate eveyrhtign ahhhhh)

i love akai and my mpc 1000 (im using os 2.1) and i cant honestly use any other equipment if i was this fast with any of piece of gear id trade in a heartbeat cuz this shit is making want to slit soem akai ahhhhhhhhh man im so pissed.

im trying to get all these beats out to artist for their next mixtapes and albums and they are requesting them fast so its hassle when this happens

A few thoughts: -

Have you added additional memory? Is it third party rather than Akai? Can you replicate the problem with the memory removed?

Have you tried downloading a fresh copy of the OS and re-installing? If not, do so.

freeze/mute on move bug is fixed in 3.0
new folder bug is also fixed on 3.0

if you want to workaround it on what you have

don't move things. copy, paste, and delete the original.
create new folders before you work on your project, not after.

ya i got hte akai memory expansion but that shouldnt have anythign to do with it...

Well, if the memory has come loose in the slot, it could have a lot to do with it. It's worth opening the plate on the bottom and re-seating the memory stick (blow any dust out too), just in case.

3.0 is third party, currently available as a beta release for public testing.

aight ill check that memory but that third party stuff i dont mess with...i snet akai a nice email from one email account of mine and a nasty one from another no response yet...bastards

i love them becuase they created the mpc but this is really starting to piss me offf
