(for mpc2500)

with the hitachi travelstar 80GB do I need IDE/UDMA or Serial ATA, I can't find any source of help from akai.

also does anyone know if you can use third party RAM sticks? If so which ones can you use? the official one is £100!

thanks

Thiers already been a discussion on the use of third party Ram if you use the search function. As far as the HD I believe its ATA.

When you look for the exact type numbers of the harddrives from Akai's recommended list, you will find that each one is a unique type. So you don't have to know if it's IDE or S-ATA, just find the right type. They are all 2.5" laptop drives, UDMA/IDE.

is it possible to get replacement screws?

You could go to dealer and ask if they have any extras. If not, just go to a hardware store and buy some new ones.
