mpc2k program issue..help?

allright this is the the problem I´ve got :

when i use the program (Drum1 - 4) and have one volume setting on one of these programs the mpc seams to flipp to another program after rebooting the thing so the volume settings is allways wrong after reloading the beat..

what do I do for saving the setting so the program wont change the next time I relaod the beat?

some help me out on this one !

Are you saving .ALL?? Are you changing the mixer settings?

like bboutit said save all programs.....it won't work if you don't

Saving the ALL file still does not help to understand the issue:

1) A Track's DRUMx setting is saved with the Seq file.
2) When you switch to a Seq, tracks with a Pgm: field setting will automatically switch that DRUMx track to the PGM file with the matching Program change number.
3) Set a unique Progam change number for each of your Programs.

How do you do that exactly? Set a unique program change number for your progams. I know how to insert a program change value, but how do i know what progam that program change refers to? I figured you could only have program numberd 1-4, but from what you are saying above you could have 1-127 and assign any of those numbers to which ever program you choose. Then that will be saved with the program when you save it right???

I forget since I have not used the XL since I got the 1000, but I do know it is in the manual.

Yes, that is what it is there for. A sampler is pretty useless unless there is a way to automate most all of the settings.
