ok im getting redy to order my MPC, Cables, Monitors...ect.

Here is the list; let me know if im missing something..

MPC 1000
2 RCA to 1/4 cables
4 1/4 cables
Moniotrs (M-audio)
Flashcars
Ram
drum kits (CD)
stack of 50's Vinyl

will this get me makeing sounds or am i missing something??

Hahaa, yea....I love "Thunderbirds"!

By the way, if you can get your hands on it, get the soundtrack to "UFO", another one of his series (which brings us halfway back on topic again :wink: ), arranged by Barry Gray. Very nice funky stuff on there! There has been a limited edition reissue on Trunk records in 2004...

seeing as 'Stacks of 50's vinyl' is on the list, i'm guessing he's got a tt. unless he thinks the mpc has one built in. now there's an idea for akai's next mpc..... :wink: :D

yea he got a point... if i get vinyl what would i play it on????

but yes i got TTs...... but im not sure about my mixer.

is there anything im missing or im set?

you should be good.
i suggest you order at least an extra set of rca and1/4 inch cables tho.
are u gonna need midi cables to sync the mpc to the comp?

i was thinking of using my MIDI to USB converter.


BTW!!!!! Do i HAVE to have a Dj Mixer to sample or i can use duel 1/4' to RCA cales stright from the TT???

you can if the tt has a built in pre amp. if not, you'll need a dj mixer (which does have a pre amp in it), or an separate RIAA pre amp.
