Will this turntable scratch for me.

I dont know jack about scratching. This is my first turntable I want to start to sample from vinal records. I am getting this turntable I want to can I sratch on this or will I have to get a new top.

yeah that will do. it's got a direct drive motor, so the platter should be sturdy enough to handle it.

Thats a nice deck. Its direct drive, not belt. For starting out that should do just fine.

just get a used 1200 and call it a day. You can get em for 2 to 300 on ebay.

i dont think ANY turntable will "scratch for you" but direct drive is DEFINITELY the way to go...

if your going to spend $200 on a table though, id say save a bit more and buy a used technics sl1200, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT... they are really good value second hand because they are built like tanks, it IS NOT rare for a 1200 mkII to be 20+ years old and still be in great condition...

IMO settling for anything other than a 1200 or equivilant is just a waste of money in the long run... especially if your trying to get into scratching and turntablism type schit... if you stick with this schit, YOU WILL want a technics 1200 one day, why beat around the bush, get balls deep playa...

That quartz drive is what the older 1200's (1986 - I used to have a pair).

if you want to spend 200 go for numark TT 200 or spend 100 more on a numark TT 500...

Go with a Technics for sure.
