Erasing Presets?

Anyone know how to complete ditch the preset Programs and Seqs from the Autoload folder. I've tried deleting the Autoload folder from the CF when it's loaded up on my Mac, and it won't let me delete those files "files are being used"?

I want a clean guilt free slate.

You have to turn OFF the Autoload first.

To turn of the Aotoload for the Internal Memory:
go to the LOAD menu
press [window]
then in the Autoload field, set the field to OFF
press F4(Close)

To turn off the Autoload for the CF card:
erase or rename the Autoload folder


The next time you turn on your MPC, it will load anything.

i get this message sometimes when i try to delete files on my mac. i use a card reader, but i think it would work the same way...

here's what you do -"eject" the card from the mac them re-mount it. you can then delete the files. if that doesnt work, you have to drag them to the trash one by one (or use cmd-delete if you want). then you'll be able to delete them from the cf card.

Thanks Effekt...it worked. Now the MPC says I have 11.4MB Free...is the Operating System holding up the additional 4.6MB, or am I still messing up?

Everything is OK now, the Os takes the rest of the space

yes..the os takes up abut 4 MB or so...
